2 Years
Two years ago today, I put up my very first blog post. It’s hard to believe that I’ve been typing out stories and thoughts for that long, but the archives don’t lie. So there you have it. Who would have thought I’d stick with something that long?
I just checked and there are 305 posts in the archives. Add to that year or more that I’ve been writing weekly at GNMParents and wow. That’s a lot of words. Aren’t you glad you don’t have to listen to me chatter in person everyday?
Speaking of GNMParents, my post went up yesterday. The boys have all gone to camp this week and I’m here by myself. A mini-vacation, if you will.
Oh! Have you ever heard of a blog carnival? It’s really neat. Carnivals are organized by topic and anyone can submit a post to be included. Carnivals usually run regularly. I was published in the Carnival of Homeschooling yesterday. There are dozens of posts listed by other homeschooling families. I’m looking forward to going through them later today.
In the meantime, there’s one more chick trying to hatch so I’m going to go cheer him on. How cool would it be for his birthday to be my blog’s birthday?

305 posts is a lot to brag about. It will take me a long time to get up there with you, but congrats and keep up the good work on your blog. I’ve always been impressed with how nice the layout is.

Lucy, just keep on keepin’ on. Lots of people quit after a few months. The advertising is through LinkShare but I’m thinking of going to Share A Sale. Another possibility is Blog Her, but I’ve never dealt with them.
