Overheard: March 20, 2008

The Manager(age 5) was apparently waiting for his brothers to do something for him. I couldn’t see what was going on, but this is what I heard him say.

“I’m waiting.

I’m WAITing!

I’m WAITINNNNNNG!

Come onnnn!”

[long pause]

“I’m getting old here.”

[another long pause]

“My hairs are getting gray.”

I guess I have no reason to doubt the nickname.

Happy spring, everyone. Or fall, for those of you in the Southern hemisphere.

Lol, no he’s not. We’ve been working on not saying “I’m waiting” over and over in a sing-song voice after making a request and before getting said request fulfilled. Although, other times he can be surprisingly patient. I guess it depends on the circumstance. The whole “I’m getting old and gray” thing from a 5 yo just totally cracked me up at the time.
