Encouraging Heroes. You can be one too.

I was recently given a copy of each of the first 2 books in the Where the Heart Lives novel series by Robin Lee Hatcher. They’re great! I really enjoyed reading them. Because there is just SO much on the ol’ todo list around here, I rarely spend time reading novels. That made this review request extra pleasurable for me, because I was reading fun books “for work….honest”. 🙂

The two novels I read where Belonging and Betrayal. They’re the first two installments in a trilogy, with Beloved coming out (hopefully this year!). The books follow a family of 3. Belonging is about Felicia Krostoffersen’s struggle to get free of cruel relatives after the death of her foster parents. Betrayal picks up with Felicia’s brother Hugh and his romance with Julia Grace, a widow whose half-brother-in-law is out to steal her ranch.

In both stories, Christian values abound and the characters find their way closer to God as they work through their problems.

I really enjoy a romance that has sound moral values and avoids the smut. Many people enjoy reading that kind of book, but I find that these stories with higher ideals are just as fulfilling and I’m not putting images in my head that I have to get out later. Instead, I’m filling my heart and mind with romances that are closer to God’s intentions as laid out in the Bible. That’s a good thing.

In addition to the copies provided me, I have another set of the books that I can give away, yay! Use the Rafflecopter widget below to enter.
