The good people at Magix Software contacted me some time ago and asked me to look at their photo editing software and review it. Well. A photo editor I am not, mainly because I don’t really have the patience for it. The Mercenary, on the other hand, is pretty interested in enhancing photos. So I asked him to download the free trial of the photo editor and check it out.

He started with this photo:

And made it look like this:

boy looking at camera again, photo edited to make skin smoother

Pretty nice, eh? He likes that artsy look.

The Mercenary said that it took him a little while to figure out how to use the program, but once he did it was super easy. He recommended I purchase it for him. I was pretty impressed that he figured it out all by himself. Other than directing him to the site, I didn’t offer any instruction whatsoever.

After thinking about it, I decided that I should do some photo editing too. After all, if kid can do it, why can’t I?

What do you think of my efforts**?

**I didn’t actually use Magix for my photo…just a printer, sharpie marker, and a scanner. Tee hee.

FTC DISCLOSURE: I did get a free download of the software, but you can too.
