Sing Yourself Silly With VeggieTales Live!

cover of Veggie Tales Sing Yourself Silly DVD

See below for the giveaway details!

VeggieTales has been a part of this household since before we had children. No kidding! The songs are so memorable, and the stories have good messages, and who can listen to one of the silly songs without laughing? My all-time favorite is the Song of the Cebu, followed closely by the Hairbrush song. Those are some great songs.

When I got the chance to review the new VeggieTales Live! Sing Yourself Silly DVD, I said YES! Then it arrived in the mail, and well…I didn’t watch it right away. To be honest, I didn’t realize it was a live recording when I agreed to do the review. We’ve got a couple of the older sing along videos and those are great. But a live show? Would that be fun to watch?

The answer to that is a resounding yes! I wouldn’t have predicted it, but this show is just as much fun as the other sing alongs. The good folks at Big Idea were able to put together a very funny story in which Larry wants to do silly songs, Archibald Asparagus wants songs with meaning, Mr. Lunt is stuck on food songs, and Jimmy and Jerry keep singing 80’s songs.

Conflict ensues, but by the end of the show, all problems have been solved Veggie style. In the process, everyone learns a good lesson about sharing.

While I was watching the show, children were attracted by the fun songs. By the end of the DVD, the whole family was here laughing along with the Veggies. Ahhhh, good times.

Dance of the Cucumber, baby! Es como mantequilla en un chango pelon. I’m also a fan of “Love My Lips”, and pretty much every other song. I, too, was a fan long before becoming a parent; my 21st birthday party was a Veggie-themed bash!

…and I’ve never been to Boston in the Fall.
