Ajith! Long time no see. I’m glad you returned for a visit. Kids are doing well, thank you. How about yours?

Color Printing, actually I have named most of them but am trying not to use them too much because the boys are gone this week and I want to let them do the naming if they choose.

Dana, thanks! I have to go over to the carnival and read yet today. There’s one more chick struggling to hatch right now and I’ve been cheering him on. The hatching is amazing. I’m betting it would be even more fun with mama hens to encourage the chicks. How long does it take a hen to become a teenager?

Depending on the circumstances I’m thinking about doing this again next year and having the boys be in a 4H club. There’s such value in that experience. I think I’m too late for this year, the fair is in about 4 weeks. Better planning and forethought (not something I always manage) are required.

Came via the carnival but had to see if your chicks had hatched in the meantime! I’m so happy for you!

We have four teenage hens we bought when they were a couple days old. Moving soon and hoping to get a rooster and hoping to hatch at least one batch for the educational value. They are a lot of fun and neat to watch. I never would have believed they have such personalities!
